What are Roles and Permissions?

Roles:

Customer Success Manager (CSM)-All users will have the default role of Customer Success Manager.

They can access only CSM Portal dashboards for which CSMs have permission.

Additional Roles can be given to the CSMs.

They are as follows:

Admin- Can Access the CSM portal dashboards for which CSMs / Admin have permission.

In addition, all Admin Portal modules can be accessed except the Playbook module.

Data Admin –Can Access the CSM portal dashboards for which CSMs / Data admin have permission.

In addition, can access some modules of the Admin Portal.

The UI, Custom Attribute, Data, Workflow, Users, Settings, and Activity Log are accessible.

Actions, Accounts, and Teams are not accessible

CS Operation:

Can Access the CSM portal and the dashboards for which CSMs /CS Operation have permission.

In addition, can access some modules of the Admin Portal.

The UI, Custom Attribute, Action, Accounts, Users, Teams, and Activity Log are accessible.

Data, Workflow are not accessible.

Executive:

They can access only CSM Portal dashboards for which CSMs / Executive have permission.

CS leadership:

They can access only CSM Portal dashboards for which CSMs / CS leadership have permission.

Note: A user should have a Customer Success Manager Role to log in to Success4.Having other roles other than Customer Success Manage will not allow the user to log in.

How to assign Roles to a User?

Admin Portal --> User Management Module-->select specific user-->Edit-->Assign role and Save.

How does permission for dashboards work?

Permissions are given during the dashboard creation.

The users with specific roles and permission can view the dashboards on the CSM end.


Example:

A user with only a Customer Success Manager Role can view the Account and Campaign dashboard on the CSM end.

Similarly, a user with a Customer Success Manager and Executive role can view all dashboards on the CSM end. Since permission is given for all dashboards.
